Brian Rowe, MRIAI
Director of Architecture
Brian Rowe is a Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland award winning architect. Over the years he has been part of winning collaborations on both new and historic buildings, domestic and public.
Brian has expertise in both modern design and historic restoration. He brings an awareness of place and history to his work with a grá for innovative but sensitive design. He believes that good design is timeless.
The principles of sustainable building and development informs his work. He has been involved on both newbuild and historic buildings requiring high levels of energy efficiency.
From years working in a conservation led practice he has a good understanding of building physics and how older structures work with regards to heat and moisture and how this should inform energy conservation measures.
Brian worked as a project architect with Shaffrey Associates
(Grade 1 Conservation Architects) for 12 years. Previous to this he worked with leading design architects such as MOLA and Gilroy McMahon.
Brian set up Brian Rowe Architects in 2016. He is actively involved in a range of projects including protected structures and new build for both large and small projects. He works on all the stages of design and construction; concept design,
planning, detailed design and tendering, site supervision and certifying.
